    Scientific and research activity of the Department of Public Economy and Administration focuses on issues of public governance, with particular emphasis on the mechanisms of
    the modern state, public administration, relations between public authorities and entities of the market economy and the social sector and public policies design and implementation process.
    Main research activities of the Department include issues of:
    • Public administration,
    • Public Management,
    • Analysis and evaluation of public policies,
    • The labor market, social security and health,
    • Culture in the context of socio-economic development,
    • Innovation and competitiveness of the economy,
    • The development of the metropolis,

    The department has developed a modern formula linking theoretical research to project implementation. The institution participates in numerous prestigious research and
    implementation projects (domestic and foreign). An important complement to research conducted at the Department is preparation of comprehensive diagnoses for key areas of the state and the economy (eg, competitiveness, innovation, local government).

    Description:

    Different problems of financial engineering, problems of sovereign default, public debt and deficit and fiscal aspects of European monetary integration, related to the economics of health, the functioning of health care systems and their development, health policy of the Member States of the EU and its coordination in terms of European integration, production and employment structure of the Polish economy in the context of the EU integration, ecological taxes, spending on ecological research and development, eco-
    innovation and EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS), structure, functioning and development of the Polish and global financial markets, the problems of sustainable development including environmental issues, innovation and governance, the problems of the development of Polish and global financial markets, in particular in terms of strategies executed by financial institutions and the regulatory policy, the basic mechanisms of functioning of monetary union in Europe and to show how is the role of macroeconomic policy in the process of stabilization of the EMU, theory of human capital, methods of its measurement and investments in that factor, the higher education in Poland, especially the relation between the educational offer and the labor market, problems transformation of the Polish economy, finance the public sector, local government budget, state budget revenues, municipalities source, structure, dynamics, tate budget expenditures, municipalities spending trends, structure, dynamics, taxes types, structure, the budget deficit, sources of financing, public debt, macroeconomic problems, inflation, unemployment, the financial consequences of unemployment in the country, region, municipality and economic growth, economic integration, integration groups such as the European Union, etc., programms of the European Union.
