Description:

Biodeterioration of textiles, paper and historical objects and development of methods of their prevention. Biodegradation of plastics. Hygienic finishing of textiles. Microbial air quality, Mycology. Biodeterioration of historical textiles and methods of their prevention. Research of correlation between the type of used dyes (natural, synthetic) and the level of microbial deterioration of textiles. Microbial analysis of indoor air. Biodeterioration of technical materials. Biocidal protection of modern material and historical objects against microbiological destruction. Hygienic finishing of textiles. Artificial ageing test for various materials. Chemical degradation of cellulose and paper. Application of various analytical techniques for research of historical objects. Analysis of air chemical pollution, especially inside museum exhibition rooms. Evaluation of influence an applied conservation techniques on degradation of historical objects. Safe exposition of objects in museum (taking into account the chemical pollution in indoor air). Work on gas chromatography - mass spectrometry system, and knowledge about other analytical method. Genetic method in analysis of microorganisms. PCR, DGE, gel electrophoresis. Genetic method in identification of microorganisms species. Genetic and chemical methods in cultural heritage researches.
