Ecology and Environmental Studies

 The Department’s main research areas include broadly understood issues related to environmental protection and metrology.
The Department is engaged in research of the use of renewable sources of energy, especially solar energy. Another research area is the assessment of the cleanliness of the atmospheric air with the use of vegetable bioindicators.
Research in the area of metrology includes photoluminescent, absorptive and colorimetric measurements aimed to identify quality criteria for a wide range of paints and luminescent surfaces used as road signs and reflecting lights.
