Main research areas: Law
Description: The research interests of the employees of the Chair of Civil and Economic Law are focused primarily on civil law and private economic law (i.e. commercial law) and public economic law.
In the area of civil law their interests include especially: the general part  of civil law, in property law, especially residential law, in law of obligations, in particular issues of liability, consumer law and business insurance, and furthermore some of the issues of inheritance and family law, as well as private international law.
Whereas within the economic law their interests include commercial law, including commercial companies, commercial contracts, commercial customary law, international trade law, private banking law, as well as public economic law, in particular public banking law, financial market law, issues concerning the protection of the market, including competition law.
In addition to the above identified  main areas of interests the employees of the Chair of Civil and Economic Law which is located at the university of economics deal with European Union law, labour law, intellectual property law, including copyright law and industrial property law, the law of unfair competition and the law of unfair commercial practices, the law of new information technology, e-commerce law, bankruptcy law, medical law, tax law, including material and procedural tax law, customs law, foreign-currency law, civil procedure, including enforcement procedure, comparative law,  economic analysis of law and the naturalization of law.
