| Description: | The staff of the Department have always focused on a broad area of scientific issues including the theory of politics and international affairs, sociological problems and political thought, systemic changes and their social implications for Poland and other post-communist countries, and relations between politics and economies. The particular staff members are engaged in research related to the subject of their doctoral or post-doctoral theses. Presently, three faculty members specialise in the problems of Eastern nations while five of them are engaged in research in the area of the social conditions of modernization, the functioning and development of European countries (with special attention given to Poland), systemic issues related to European nations as well as general and international problems. |
